Individualized estate liquidation services
Price Auctions & Estates will organize and price the full contents of a home so that everything for sale is visible — remove everything from closets and cupboards and set it up like a retail store. We research items that we need more information on and call in colleagues who may be specialists in certain areas. When selling antiques and collectibles, identification and correct valuation is essential.
Staying abreast of local trends and prices is extremely important. Contemporary and antique items are equally saleable. Our first advice is to throw nothing out! The most mundane items may have a following of which you are unaware. Areas of special expertise include Northwest Art and historical items, Native American artifacts, Orientalia, American Art Pottery, fine glassware, jewlery, carpets, furniture, especially Mid Century Modern and many other collectibles and antiques. We are well versed in contemporary designers and name brands.
Advertising is critical!
We reach out to buyers through online advertising on multiple sites with hundreds of photos, extensive email lists of repeat buyers and prominent signage during the sale. We have a following of specialized collectors and repeat customers who are serious buyers. Using a ‘Brand Name’ estate sale service will increase your customer base substantially, which means much higher sales and an empty house!.
Only $500 in advertising fees – with what we do not use you get back. We operate on a percentage basis, which is deducted from the sales’s proceeds. Our rates are spelled out in our contract, there is no guesswork. To determine your percentage, an onsite consultation is necessary. We don’t play games. There are plenty of “Discount” groups out there – always remember – you get what you pay for!
For security, the address of the sale is not visible until the day before the sale. All high end small items are removed from the premises before and nightly during the sale. We provide extra staff during sale hours.
What Makes a Good Sale?
We can’t stress enough that a successful sale is a sale with a little bit of everything – old, new and in-between….designer items, decor pieces, antiques and collectibles….tools, yard art, kitchenwares….functional furniture, bedding and linens, appliances….food, office supplies, plants…..jewelry, glassware, fine china…..all of these items are the nuts and bolts of a good sale! So we say again – THROW NOTHING OUT – until you talk to us!
